Definitely Recommended Content

Hi there people,

For once this post isn't anything about me really. This time I'm going to be making sure you guys check out some wicked talent. For those of you who don't know, haven't noticed or haven't bothered, I have a "Definitely Recommended Reading" Section at the side of the screen and directly underneath is "Quality Youtube Channels"

These sections are fairly self explanatory and I've not just put them there for fun or recognition. They are there because they have a lot of VERY good content and things that most of you would be interested in. My fiancé's (Mallynista) blog is the only one that would be considered an exception, but there are many girl gamers on my twitter friends so i think even that is relevant, plus she does awesome reviews and tips for makeup.

I aim to get more and more content in those sections over the coming days & months so PLEASE make sure you check it out regularly.

I'll not go into each specific link but they are ALL worth checking out.

Black Ops II League Play Season 4 End Time (ENDED)

Hi there,

For anyone who plays league play on Black Ops II i have added a coundown timer to when the latest season of league play ends, this can be found at the side of the page (scroll down a little) - ENDED NOW

As some of you will have noticed I've done a lot of ranting about Black Ops II, i thought the league play would stop some of it because i assumed that there would be a lot more experienced players in those lobbies. That's where i was wrong.

It seems that recently all i keep getting on my team are fools that get scores like 5-19 and more to that effect. That's just utterly rediculous, scores like that seem to me as though someone on the other team is camping and that person on my team just keeps going back for more. It seems like some people cannot think of other tactics than running head first into a hail of bullets, even in league play.

I went all the way to rank 7 in the platinum league and ended up back down to 21 because of many many games being lost due to having people like the ones i've already mentioned on my teams. I must have spent 2-3 hours doing league games earlier and only won about three of those games. Luckily i have managed to claw my way back up to 8th but I have now run out of bonus points. There's no way i'm risking losing 150 points by probably losing a game just to get 10 points if i do win. I'd have to win 15 or more games in a row just to move up 1 place.

Anyway, i'll try and keep my place and if possible, move a little higher but i can't see either happening.

Blog Overhaul

Hi there!

Right well i've not posted anything for quite a long time now, basically i was getting a little fed up with not getting any interaction from the people that have been reading my blog. So instead of keeping with the Final Fantasy theme I've decided that i'd probably be more active if i just made it a general blog. 
So now i'll be blogging about anything and everything. It'll obviously still mostly be games, being a gamer. But now i don't feel restricted to Final Fantasy related posts.
Final Fantasy has always been my favourite game series and is the reason i started playing games in the first place, but i feel i would get more interaction and feel more inclined to update something that isn't restricted to just one topic.

So please keep an eye on the blog for more posts coming soon.
I will still be adding new figures as i get them. So nothing will change there!

Big Changes

Hello again, i've been sitting here thinking about my blog and i realised that i've taken on much more work than one person could possibly get done in a decent amount of time. So what i've done is i have deleted all of the individual game pages and have decided to condense these down into pages that i think people will want to see, there is now a tips and tricks page, a game maps page and a page with art/fan art and screenshots. If i can think of any other pages i will add them at a later date but i think it would be better for me to add content to those pages for each game i find stuff for rather than having a huge amount of games that i need to keep on top of.

So please feel free to check out the new pages and this time none of them are empty! I'll be updating these much more often because i now feel like my workload has decreased a lot!

Small Changes

I've made a couple of small changes to the blog today, I've added a donation button at the side of the page so that if you feel like helping myself and my fiancé out with a small donation you can, i'm not asking for them as such but if you feel like you want to and that you enjoy what you're reading and viewing then go ahead. I've only done this because as i have mentioned before it would be better for us if we had a small source of income to be able to afford a few things we need and possibly put money away to get married someday.
Anyway, the other thing that has been changed is the poll, i've added a lot more of the Final Fantasy Games to choose from so if you've already voted (there were only four votes anyway) you may have to vote again (sorry) but if you haven't please go ahead and pick your favourite, i'm interested in seeing what people's favourites are!

Parcelforce are *BLEEP*

Hi people!
That's yet another day passed by without getting the figure that i was supposed to get within 48 hours, a figure that was posted last Thursday!! I called parcelforce yesterday to ask where my parcel was and they told me that it only left their depot not long ago and that it would definately be with me today, well... it's still not here. It costs more than £9 for that service and it's utter SHIT! 
So in case anyone was thinking of using Parcelforce in the future.. Don't. It's a total ripoff and they don't even deliver when they say they are going to. 
It better be here tomorrow, because if it isn't that's at least a week from when it was sent for the princely sum of £9. If it had been sent first class recorded with Royal Mail it would have definately been here by Saturday, Monday latest and it probably wouldn't have cost much more than £3.65. What an utter joke. I've never been so annoyed at paying a high postage cost for such a shite service. Anyways... Nevermind. Rant over.

So you may have noticed a large change if you've visited this blog before, i've added every game that i'll be writing about (i may have missed one or two), i've only added a logo for most of them, this is because i'll need to get playing them before i write anything. I've found that i've more to write about if i'm playing the game at the time. 
I did add a small amount to Final Fantasy I, this is because i am playing it at the moment. You'll also find a tip for beating X-ATM092 for Final Fantasy VIII on the relevant tab.

Please feel to have a nosey around and if you keep an eye on my posts, i'll let you know if anything new has been added to a particular section. So you won't need to keep checking the page.

Again, please feel free to comment leave me feedback or anything like that. As of yet the only person to say anything about this blog is my own fiancé and she lives with me! So come and let me know that i'm not doing all this for nothing, it's getting depressing!

Tomorrow Tomorrow

Hi fans!

Yet another setback for me, once again the figure that i am waiting for in the post is late! It was meant to be here today for definite, but it turns out that i won't be getting it until tomorrow now. So those pictures i've been promising will yet again have to wait another day!

But in the meantime i managed to get some stuff done on the Final Fantasy VIII page at last, the Final Fantasy VII one is by no means finished yet either, but i thought i had better start adding different games. As it happens i am playing Final Fantasy VIII at the moment, so i'll be able to give fresh tips and tricks for the game, rather than just trying to remember them or googling them!

I've added a guide for defeating X-ATM092 on your first mission to Dollet, so be sure to give that one a try if you haven't before! It was a bit frustrating but i got there today! I kept trying to squeeze as many fights in as possible but i kept finding that if i tried 8 battles i wasn't left with enough time to get to the beach. So i had to settle for 7 battles and 350 AP for my Guardian Forces.

Back in Action

Hi there people!

Right, I've had a short break as you will have noticed, from posting things on my blog, i wish i could say i spent that time playing lots of games, but instead i spent it setting up games!

Over the past couple of days i have been experimenting a bit with getting Final Fantasy VII and VIII to work on Windows 7 and trying to make sure they run full screen and at a slightly higher resolution.
I tried the latest version of Final Fantasy 7 for the PC (2012 version) but something just didn't seem right, probably the music to be honest.
Funnily enough the new version looks the same as the original pc version but with the fan-made Aali's graphics improvements. (Higher resolution etc)
I'm still trying to work out the best way to get the music the same as the original psx version, but for now i'm taking a break. 

I also got Final Fantasy VIII to work using he same graphic improvements, but i've not made any other changes, not yet at least.

Both games look great with this addition and can both be played fullscreen.

Now onto the blog , today and from now on i'll be working on the tabs, FF7 & FF8, i'll add the next figure that i get, as soon as i get it. But in the meantime, i'll be working on the static pages.
I'd like people to actually give me some feedback though. 
So far in 2 weeks i've had nearly 500 pageviews and nobody other than my fiancé has given me any feedback on here. I'd like to know if you like what you see, if you don't, i want suggestions as to what you'd like to see, if you have any content you think should be added, any news you want shared, anything at all. I'd just like some feedback after all the work i've put in so far.
So get involved, this isn't just me rattling on, i want the fans of the games to interact with me and each other here. 
There's a lot of great stories and experiences to be shared involving these games and it'd be great to hear them!

Later today i'll add some more to the tabs as i mentioned, i was wondering if anyone would like any simple-ish instructions on how to get a basic (slightly improved resolution) version of Final Fantasy VII and or VIII running on Windows 7 (i'm not sure if its the same for older operating systems), if anyone thinks it'll be worth adding, let me know!

Bit of a Lazy Day

Heya Final Fantasy Fans!

Sorry for the lack of new content or interaction today, I've had a bit of a lazy day today and didn't really bother with anthing. As some of you may or may not know i was waiting for a Master Creatures Bahamut to arrive in the post. 
Well it arrived this morning and guess what!? It was broken. 
The seller described the item as mint condition and unopened, he also stated from a smoke and pet free home. Well the box was a yellowy discoloured looking thing, which i admit wasn't damaged, but it looks like it had been sat in smoke for a good few years. Then when i opened the box, which was stuck down at the sides by what looks like the smaller desktop sellotape sized tape, i could clearly see one of the ties for the statue sitting at the bottom of the box loose. I then took out the statue and where the megaflare meets the mouth it was snapped! It also looked like there was some dust on the shoulders that he couldn't get rid of or missed.
So after all the anticipation and waiting... It was a major disappointment! Not only that, but the actual statue was a LOT smaller than all the pictures i've seen of it, made it out to be.
So this afternoon i sent it back to the seller and should receive a full refund shortly.

However!

It may have been a stroke of luck, because in it's place i have found a Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Bahamut Sin figure, also by Play Arts. I'm not usually after the Advent Children figures because i prefer the game stuff. But this was too awesome looking to pass up! I've had a quick look online since and I've only seen some on Amazon.com for $300 and some more on Ebay.com for anywhere between $150 and $300. I'll let people guess what i paid for it, but i can safely say it's nowhere near that much!
The seller said they would send it to me Tomorrow or Thursday using a 48hr courier service. As soon as it's in and assuming there's nothing wrong with it, i'll be posting pictures of it on here to show all you lovely people!

In the meantime, i'll be adding more content to the Final Fantasy VII tab (tomorrow probably).

On another note, i played that Dust 514 beta today for the Playstation 3, which is linked to Eve online. I can't say i'm too sure about it yet. I love the idea but i'd say it needs a bit more work, for a start the interfaces and text were far too small to read properly half the time, and i've got a decent sized tv! The combat felt a tiny bit laggy but then it's an online game, but at the same time, so is CoD etc and that's smooth most of the time. I'd say give it a try, but don't expect greatness yet... It still needs some work.

Apologies for Mistakes

I just went through and re-read the last post and subsequently had a quick scan of my older posts, i noticed quite a few mistakes in the last post and didn't spot any in the older ones (thankfully).
Today has been an epic fail in the technology department, the internet has been cutting out on me on and off for the entire day and has been messing with my writing flow.

You know when you're typing and you know whats coming next, well everytime my net cut out, that got interrupted. As well as my own errors, for some reason "it" (whatever it was) decided that when i put my links in the post, it would throw a few of them at the end of the appropriate paragraph instead of where it was intended to be. So i needed to go back and replace them.

Oh and the keyboard on my laptop is fail, it often doesn't pick up letters when i type them, sometimes i pretty much need to bash the key before it picks it up haha. 

So all that mixed in left me with a lot of proof reading and post production editing lol

Anyway that should all be corrected now, apologies for any inconvenience and crapness of that last post due to it. (Typical since that one is my favourite figure set)

New look and content!

Hey People! 

As you may or may not have noticed, i have changed the look of the blog a little, my fiancé Elle found that it was a little too dull. I didn't want anything over the top that would distract from the actual content of the blog, but at the same time there needed to be a little injection of colour. So i hope people like what i've done with it.

I've also added some content under the Final Fantasy VII tab. As i mention on the page, it is a constant work in progres. All the information on that page, needs to be fit into one long post. I cannot add any other posts to it, it's a static, standalone page. 

Under the Final Fantasy VII tab i have added:

• A short introduction
• Information about the game
• A couple of hints and tips (lots, lots more to come)
• A small selection of Fan Art

I hope you like what you see, if you do please comment and tell your friends. I'm trying to make a place that all Final Fantasy Fans can enjoy and re-live those wonderful moments in the games.

Updates - 25th Jan 2013

I've added Tifa Lockhart pictures today, also went back and slightly re-wrote the Cloud Strife review that i had previously done.
When writing the Tifa review i realised that i missed out some vital information about the Cloud Figure and that when i re-read it, it seemed rushed, which was definately not my intention.

As i may or may not have mentioned before i am new to blogging and i've never really written reviews on things before. But since i discovered these amazing figures, as a fan of the Final Fantasy series of games, i wanted to share them with other people too!

I would like to show people how great the figures are and get people re-living their greatest Final Fantasy moments and stories with me, here, on this blog.

I don't have any other friends that are as into the Final Fantasy games as me, i would like to chat with some other people who are as much, if not more of a fan than i am!

Anyway... Check out the Cloud and Tifa Reviews, let me know what you think, post some comments, say hello, whatever you like!

Interest and Updates

There's a lack of interest at the moment, so i'm probably doing something wrong! haha. I know the blog is only a few days old but it seems like there's little or no interest so far. Which isn't very inspiring, but regardless of that i'll put some more figure pictures up tomorrow.
Tomorrow i'll add either Aeris or Tifa, or both. 

I'm still waiting for my Bahamut figure to arrive, the person it's been purchased from hasn't even sent it yet! So once that's arrived, pictures will be taken of it for sure!

I've made changes to the settings for the blog to make fully sure that people can comment on the posts i make and so that everything should be just right. :) 
I only looked at them today (what a dumbass)

If anyone reading this likes Final Fantasy VII and or the figures for it, or knows someone who does then please let them and other people know about this blog.

Anyway i will bid you all goodnight because i should be watching Ghost Adventures with my fiancé at the moment! (Great Show)

Blog Deleted within a Day!

Well, that's not entirely encouraging for my first blog experience. For some reason Blogger's automated system decided to delete this blog, it's been a good few hours but i've managed to get it reinstated as the Blogger team have seen that this is a legitimate blog.
At least it's back now!

Anyway due to that major setback i didn't get anything else done yet. I'm going to get my figures down now and start "cataloging" them, i don't have that many yet but i aim to get a lot more over the coming months and years. 

Hopefully people will find the pictures and information on each figure useful! 

I've just taken the pictures and will upload them soon!

Hello and welcome to my "Lifestream Blog"
I've created this as more of an outlet, i am obviously a HUGE fan of Final Fantasy VII and the majority of this blog's content will be Final Fantasy related, but you'll also find a great deal of ranting about the state of the world too (Feel free to ignore those parts if you find them boring).

Over the coming weeks and months i will be updating this blog with pictures of the figures i am collecting, i've only recently started to collect the Final Fantasy VII figures (i have and will be getting some from other games in the series too). I'll also be talking about anything Final Fantasy related, the games, characters, monsters, rumours anything i think people will find interesting.

As well as all of that i will try and compile a list of hints, tips and tricks for FFVII that i have come across over the years. I am currently working on something i will be able to offer people via eBay or paypal in the coming months, for those of you that would like to experience the game in a few different ways but either don't have the time and or the patience.

I would also like everyone who loves Final Fantasy VII to get involved in some discussion with me and each other, i want Square-Enix to finally listen to the public outcry and re-make the game for the newest generation of consoles and of course the PC. 

As mentioned before, you may find a few random rants about various real-life issues or topics along the way, it's up to you if you want to read and or comment on those!
