Another day and another figure from my small collection. Today's figure is the Advent Children version of Sephiroth. I would have preferred to keep with the game versions of the characters but i couldn't see one of those at the time, instead i settled for one based on the Advent Children Sephiroth. This figure (in my opinion) isn't too different from the game version of (if at all), which is part of the reason i didn't mind buying it. Again this is an Ebay purchase and therefor the box is a little bit battered up (which i'm not best pleased about) but the figure itself is mint. The figure stands at about 9" and is very highly detailed his long coat is flexible at the bottom allowing it to move a little, rather than it being rigid and probably breakable. As i mentioned before, this figure is from the range but it looks just like the game version of Sephiroth (in my opinion) if there are any differences they are barely noticable. The figure comes with spare hands and the infamous Masamune sword, which is a staggering 10" I have him holding it in a way that in my opinion looks as though he's thinking about slicing you up with his sword of utter destruction. As with the other Play Arts figures, it has many points of articulation, once again allowing for him to be posed in a variety of different ways. As i've mentioned, i wanted him to look menacing, because let's face it... He is! I would rate this guy as my favourite Bad Guy in a game, or one of the top few if not. The quality and feel of the actual figure is once again second to none, it feels weighty and expensive and definately doesn't feel like it'd break if you dropped it (definately wouldn't recommend trying it though!) I would definately recommend these Play Arts figures to anyone who is serious about collecting the figures. You'll definately not be disappointed! I'm not as impressed with the box for this figure as i have been with the Play Arts Vol.1 Figures i have . It seems a lot cheaper than the others, the cardboard seems a bit more flimsy, there isn't any silvered fancy lettering and the black is more of a cheap glossy looking black rather than the nice matt black that the Play Arts Vol.1 Figures had. The back of the box once again has a few pictures of Sephiroth, which could maybe give you some ideas on how to pose the figure and a small diagram on how to set up the base (which is very simple), the base is a black oval, the same as the other figures i have reviewed, this oval has an adjustable clip slot into it to hold the figure. This allows your figure to stand very very stable and it also allows you to pose them to a certain extent. So all in all, other than the packaging, this figure is amazing and i would recommend it to everyone who is interested in collecting figures from the game/s. Here are the pictures:
It's been a couple of days now (I think) so i think its about time i added another one of my figures to the blog. Today's installment as you will have noticed from the title is from the Play Arts Vol.1 Collection. She was also purchased as part of a lot, alongside Cloud and Tifa, off of Ebay. Unfortunately it when it came in the staff had already been snapped at one end. The seller did mention that they thought it "might be broken at one end" but wasn't sure. They may have just been honest and said it was. Either way i got the set for a bargain and I'm sure one day I'll either replace the Staff or the whole figure. However, that being said there is nothing wrong with the figure at all.
She stands around the same height as Tifa at around 7.5" tall, which i think is a nice height for a figure for displaying. A major drawback to collecting figures is the amount of room you need to display them, but they're a nice size and shouldn't take up much room (without the stands). The figure, as i have said for the other figures, is very highly detailed and is based on the game version of the character. Once again, she has over 22 points of articulation, which allows for her to be posed in a few different ways. The legs aren't as easily moved as the other figures because her dress restricts the movement a fair bit. But that isn't really a problem. As with the other figures, she comes with spare hands, she also comes with a staff (wouldn't be right if she didn't eh?)
The packaging it comes in, is exactly the same as the other two figures in this volume but obviously with pictures of Aeris on it. It has lovely silvered lettering on the front of the box and has pictures of Aeris on the side and back of it. As usual it could give you a couple of ideas on how to pose her and at the bottom on the back of the box is a guide to how to set up the stand (really really simple), this brings me onto the stand once again, it is fantastic. As i mentioned for Cloud and Tifa, the stand is a black oval with a stem that slots into the base, this houses an adjustable metal clip to slot your figure into. I personally prefer these stands to the Play Arts Kai ones for FFXIII because they take up less room and are very sturdy.
Once again this figure is fantastic, i couldn't fault it if i am honest. I just wish the staff wasn't broken. I'll definately be getting more of the figures when i can. I have a few more to show you so keep an eye!
Hey People! As you may or may not have noticed, i have changed the look of the blog a little, my fiancé Elle found that it was a little too dull. I didn't want anything over the top that would distract from the actual content of the blog, but at the same time there needed to be a little injection of colour. So i hope people like what i've done with it. I've also added some content under the Final Fantasy VII tab. As i mention on the page, it is a constant work in progres. Hello Final Fantasy Fans! Things are slowly starting to look up, thanks to some great people on twitter people are starting to notice the blog and i'm sure in the coming weeks, things will pick up. You may have noticed some pages at the top of the screen which take you to absolutely bugger all! But they are there for some static information on those games. Cheats, tips, fan art, secrets, basically anything that i think people would find useful or interesting that i don't want to get lost on the main page. It seems i'm making a lot of work for myself but i'll slowly get there. You've probably noticed that I've missed out a lot of games there, well the simple answer there is: "I've not played all of them", yes you heard me right, big Final Fantasy Fan hasn't played the games that came before Final Fantasy VII. I know to a lot of people this would be some kind of sin or something and that a lot of people would say i can't call myself a true "Fan" of the Final Fantasy Games because of it, but i totally disagree. I've been a long time fan of the Final Fantasy Games on the Playstation and therefor have only played the games from 7 onward. I know a lot, if not all of them have been released on the PSN but i don't have money to go and buy them all. I will eventually get around to it, but i can't right now. However i have always loved the Final Fantasy games, it's true that i think they have gone downhill since 7, there have been some exceptions, but on average, nothing (in my opinion) compares to VII and VIII. As for the other ones X,XI,XII etc... i either can't remember them very well or haven't played them. I need a major refresher course on some of the ones i've played. In the mean-time if anyone feels like they could contribute to any of the other games feel free to get in touch with me and we might be able to work something out. Ideally i would love for every single fan's favourite games to be on this blog, i want EVERYONE to feel welcome here and i definately don't want to say any other game is lesser than another. Anyway, for the time being we'll have to make do with those categories. Once i have some interesting things to put on the pages you will see them updated. But i'll probably let you know on the main page that i've updated them anyways, so no need to keep checking until then! A few updates

I've added Tifa Lockhart pictures today, also went back and slightly re-wrote the Cloud Strife review that i had previously done. When writing the Tifa review i realised that i missed out some vital information about the Cloud Figure and that when i re-read it, it seemed rushed, which was definately not my intention.
As i may or may not have mentioned before i am new to blogging and i've never really written reviews on things before. But since i discovered these amazing figures, as a fan of the Final Fantasy series of games, i wanted to share them with other people too!
I would like to show people how great the figures are and get people re-living their greatest Final Fantasy moments and stories with me, here, on this blog.
I don't have any other friends that are as into the Final Fantasy games as me, i would like to chat with some other people who are as much, if not more of a fan than i am!

As promised here is the next figure in my collection, it's the second figure in the Play Arts Vol.1 series for Final Fantasy VII, . This figure, as with the other ones in this series is highly detailed and is based on the game version of the character. It looks absolutely fantastic, i would say that she couldn't look more like the Tifa from the game than she does here! She stands at around 7.5" tall and just like the other figures, has over 22 points of articulation, making her highly poseable. However seeing as she never had a weapon as such (other than her fists of doom haha) there's wasn't a great deal of ways i could think of posing her. I decided to make her stand with her fist up and the other arm guarding. I guess i could have had her in an attacking stance as well. She comes with a couple of different hands in case you wish to have her look different.
As with the other figures, she feels solid and has a decent weight to her, she feels very well made and definately doesn't feel cheap. The detail is amazing and the way they have made this and the other figures posable without sacrificing the look of them too much is fantastic!
The box it comes in is just as nice and classy, matt black box with silvered writing at the front, it also has images on the sides and on the back, the back ones might possibly give you some ideas on how to pose the figure and how the stand works, which brings me nicely onto the stand, this as i have mentioned for the Cloud Strife figure, is perfect. The stand is a black oval which you slot a black stem into, this stem houses an adjustable metal clip to slot your figure into. This keeps your figure very very stable and also allows you to stand your figure in a few different ways. Although if you want to pose the figure in a way that is a little more flamboyant, you are probably best without any stand and just a bit of blu tack underneath. Overall i think this figure is fantastic and would highly recommend the figures to anyone who loves the game! It's a whole different experience playing the game while being able to see the figures either side of your TV! Anyway here are the pictures:
There's a lack of interest at the moment, so i'm probably doing something wrong! haha. I know the blog is only a few days old but it seems like there's little or no interest so far. Which isn't very inspiring, but regardless of that i'll put some more figure pictures up tomorrow. Tomorrow i'll add either Aeris or Tifa, or both. I'm still waiting for my Bahamut figure to arrive, the person it's been purchased from hasn't even sent it yet! So once that's arrived, pictures will be taken of it for sure! I've made changes to the settings for the blog to make fully sure that people can comment on the posts i make and so that everything should be just right. :) I only looked at them today (what a dumbass) If anyone reading this likes Final Fantasy VII and or the figures for it, or knows someone who does then please let them and other people know about this blog. For the second installment of pictures I'll be showing you the Play Arts Vol.1 no.1 , i got this second hand a little while ago but the actual figure and box were like new and remain that way. Once again, the figure itself is highly detailed and looks just like the game version of the character.
Cloud Stands at around 8 to 8.5" Tall which is around an inch taller than the ladies in this series. He has over 22 points of articulation, which makes this figure highly poseable, to aid with posing this figure, it comes with different hands as well as the infamous Buster Sword which can attach to a removable peg in the back of Cloud to stop it from falling out of his hand, when not putting the sword behind his back the peg can be replaced with a plug that is very discreet.
The box it comes in is also very nice it comes in a matt black colour and has silvered lettering at the front for the lettering. On the sides it has an image of the meteor from the game (the logo) and the other side has a picture of Cloud on it. The back has a series of ideas on how to pose the figure, as well as showing you how to set up the stand, which is as far from rocket science as you could get!
As well as everything being as near to perfect as you can get, the base/stand that this figure comes with is amazing, it's simple, it works great and it doesn't take up mammoth amounts of space. It's just a black oval with a stem that slots into it, this houses an adjustable metal grip that you can clip your figure into, which i attach around the waist of the figures. This keeps the figures from falling over or changing position. I don't know why they changed the Final Fantasy XIII Play Arts Kai ones because this (to me) is a perfect design.
The figure looks exactly like Cloud from the game and looks amazingly detailed, it helps that the articulation points don't get in the way, they definately don't detract too much from how great the figure looks. They've made this figure extremely well. I got this one in a lot with and and ever since i've been trying to get more and more of the Play Arts figures.
